#38917 - Unable to restart server from the Control Panel.
Installing the patch on server
Complete the following steps on server:
- Login to the server as administrator.
- Open a command window and run the command iisreset /stop
- Stop the EnsimProvision Engine COM+ component. Open Start > Program > Administrative Tools > Component Services
Navigate to : Computers > My Computer > COM+ Application > EnsimProvisionEngine. Right Click > Shut Down- Open a command window and move the
<WINDOWS>*\assembly\GAC\EnsimLib\2.1.0.0__a0478cffa08d992f\EnsimLib.dll file to c:\wwp_hotfix4\backup directory. Important: Ensure that you close the command window before starting the next step.- Click Start > Settings > Control Panel > Administrative Tools > Microsoft .NET Framework 1.1 Configuration > Assembly Cache, then click the Add an Assembly to the Assembly Cache link.
- Navigate to the location from where you are reading this file, select EnsimLib.dll in the dialog box, then click Open.
- Close the Microsoft .NET Framework 1.1 Configuration window.
- Start the EnsimProvision Engine COM+ component. Open Start > Program > Administrative Tools > Component Services
Navigate to : Computers > My Computer > COM+ Application > EnsimProvisionEngine. Right Click > Start- Open a command window and run the command iisreset /start
* Note: <WINDOWS> is the directory where Windows is installed. The default directory is c :\windows.
