Windows Server 2003 Requirements

This section describes the Parallels Pro Control Panel 10.3.4 requirements specific to Windows Server 2003.

Before installing Parallels Pro Control Panel 10.3.4, ensure that the following components and services of Windows Server 2003 are installed on the server. These components and services are accessible through the Add/Remove Windows Components section of the Add or Remove Programs utility.

• Domain Name System (located under Networking Services)
• ASP.NET

  Note: This service is available for all 32-bit Windows 2003 editions and 64-bit Windows 2003 Standard edition only. You need to manually download it from the Microsoft Web site for all other 64-bit Windows 2003 editions.

• Internet Information Services (IIS)

Ensure the following components/services are present under IIS:

• Common Files
• File Transfer Protocol (FTP) Service
• FrontPage 2002 Server Extensions

  Note: By default, this service is available for all 32-bit Windows 2003 editions only . You need to manually download it from the Microsoft Web site for all the 64-bit Windows 2003 editions.

• Internet Information Services Manager
• SMTP Service
• World Wide Web Service

Ensure that all the components/services are installed under the World Wide Web Service.

• QoS Packet Scheduler (located under Local Area Connection Properties)

  Important: Parallels Pro Control Panel 10.3.4 is not compatible with Active Directory Services (ADS). Before installing Parallels Pro Control Panel 10.3.4, ensure that the Active Directory Services component is not installed.
  
  However, Parallels Pro Control Panel 10.3.4 is compatible with Active Directory Application Mode (ADAM), and can be installed on a server pre-installed with ADAM.
