Creating Additional Directories

You can create additional directories on your site at any time; however, you cannot create directories under the directory level / (root).

Note: Symbolic links to directories can be created only through a Telnet or SSH connection.

To create a directory:

1. Click the Shortcuts tab on the Home page.
   

   To get to the Home page, click Home on the navigation bar at left.

2. In the shortcuts area, click Manage Files (File Manager section). The directory list is displayed.
3. Browse to the directory under which you want to create a subdirectory.
4. In the Commands area of the Path form, in the Make directory field, enter the name of the new directory.
5. Click Make directory.

   The directory appears on the directory list.
