Uninstalling SSL certificates

You can uninstall an SSL certificate to permanently delete it from the server.

To uninstall an SSL Certificate:

1. On the left navigation panel, in the Server section, click Services.

2. On the Services page, click IIS Web Service.

3. On the Service Component Instance Shortcuts page, click SSL.

4. Click the Install tab.

5. Select the certificate to be uninstalled from the list of certificates.

6. Click the Uninstall Certificate tab.

7. The SSL certificate is deleted permanently.

8. Note: You will need to generate a new SSL certificate or install another existing certificate.

9. Important: If you uninstall an assigned SSL certificate from the Web site, the certificate is completely removed and cannot be retrieved.
