Removing log files

With time, the log files for the Web and FTP server can consume a large amount of disk space. To conserve disk space, you should periodically review and remove your log files.

To remove log files:

1. Go to the folder operations section of the File Manager.

2. Click Delete from the tool bar.

3. Navigate to the w3svc and msftpsvc folders inside the LogFiles folder.

4. Important: A separate folder is generated for each day's logs. The folder name will have a number that is randomly generated. View the dates of the log files inside the folder before removing any folder.
   
   You cannot remove log files for the current day.

• Note: Click a folder name to move inside the folder.

4. Select the folder to be removed.

5. Select the Delete all subdirectories check box in the right pane of the File Manager.

6. Click Delete selected files and directories to delete the files.

A message is displayed regarding the status of the performed action.
