Disabling packages

You can disable a Power Tools script package if you want to prevent sites from creating new instances of the package. There are two ways to do this:

When you disable the package from a site, you prevent the site from creating new instances of the package. When you disable the package from the system, you prevent all sites from creating new instances of the package.

When you disable a package, existing deployments or instances are not affected. You cannot remove site deployments from the Appliance Administrator control panel; existing deployments can be removed only from the Site Administrator control panel.

To disable the package at the site level:

  1. In the shortcuts section of the Home page, click List Sites (Sites section).

  2. Locate the site you want to change and in the Actions column, click . The Edit Site form opens.

  3. In the Ensim Power Tools section at the bottom of the Edit Site form, clear the check box next the script packages you want to disable for the site. To disable all script packages, clear the check box next to Power Tools.

  4. Click Save.

The package is no longer available to the site through the Site Administrator control panel. Existing deployments of the package are not affected, however.

To disable the package at the system level:

  1. On the left navigation bar, click Power Tools.

  2. In the Actions column of the script package you want to disable, click .

The package is no longer available to any site through the Site Administrator control panel. Existing deployments of the package are not affected, however.
