About multiple MySQL databases
WEBppliance enables support for multiple MySQL databases per site.
A web site is a conglomeration of data entities organized in databases that enable you to retrieve and process information with ease. Often the data can get overwhelming and you will be challenged with the need to distribute your data efficiently.
Multiple databases provide you with the opportunity to organize your site's data more effectively and efficiently.
As an Appliance Administrator, you can set the maximum number of databases a site is authorized to own, and assign the Database Administrator for the site. You can use the Service Plan template to enable database support for a site.
Note: WEBppliance does not implicitly spawn a database when a site is created. Also, if you set the maximum limit to '0', then the Site Administrator will be unable to create databases for the site.
Appliance Administrators can log in as a "root" user to perform operations on a site's databases.
